The Gyrowash device is designed to determine the color fastness of textile samples to washing, dry cleaning, and chlorinated water . Tests can be performed in accordance with European (ISO) standards .

This test method is used to predict the performance of dyed or printed textiles during common washing processes using detergents and additives. Color change in the sample and staining on adjacent fabrics are evaluated using the standard Grey Scale .
