The ProWhite ICI Pilling Tester precisely simulates the friction of woven and knitted fabrics against a controlled and rough surface to assess pilling formation . Designed for high accuracy and ease of use, the device is available in two or four test positions and is compatible with all box and drum types.

Working Principle

Test samples are wound onto special polyurethane tubes and placed inside cork-lined test boxes . After setting the desired number of rotations and rotation speed , the test is started with the press of a single button. At the end of the programmed time, the pilling degree of the tested fabric samples is determined by comparing them to standard pilling grading photographs (for woven and knitted fabrics).
