The PROWHITE Elmendorf Tear Strength Tester is designed to measure the ballistic tear strength of textile materials, paper, and cardboard products with high precision , thanks to its microprocessor-controlled vertically moving pendulum .

Special cutting dies and cutting blades for sample preparation are supplied with the device. Testing can be performed with different force ranges:

• 800 cN (1.75 lb)
• 1600 cN (3.5 lb)
• 3200 cN (7.0 lb)
• 6400 cN (14 lb)

During the test, you can choose between mN, cN, N, g, kg, oz, and lb units. At the end of each test, the results are displayed on the LCD screen . The screen also shows information about the pendulum used, the number of samples tested, and statistical data.

The device includes a standard RS232 computer connection output , allowing test data to be transferred to a computer.
